Your final task as the emergency management consultant for the organization you chose in Week Two(Attached) is to create a disaster communication and continuity plan for emergency management.

Part A

Determine the elements your organization needs to recover from the emergency incident. You will include these elements in Part B.

Consider the following:

  • What tools and technologies, systems, or resources are available to support the function?
    • Mutual aid associations
    • Disaster recovery
    • Public relations
    • Warning and alert systems
  • What improvements are likely to occur in the future regarding the function or activity?

Part B

Review the information you gathered on your organization's incident in Weeks Three and Four. Using this information and the research from Part A, create a 2- to 3-page continuity plan for managing the emergency incident you chose in Week Two. Please ensure your plan contains at least 750-1,000 words. Include the following:

  • Title page
  • Phases of emergency management:
    • Preparedness (Week Three)
    • Mitigation (Week Three)
    • Response (Week Four)
    • Recovery (Week Five, Part A)
  • Sources

Format your sources and paper according to APA guidelines; provide at least four references.
