Design
Deadline and Deliverable
By the due date, create digital rough versions of your site.
Steps to Success
A digital rough is a color, full-content, non-interactive version of your site, done in a digital computer program like Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator. Typically, the artist gives this rough version to the client, receives their feedback, and incorporates it into another rough layout. This process is repeated as necessary until a final version has been approved.
By the due date, create:
- Two or more layouts constructed to the proper aspect ratio of a computer screen. One that shows all visual elements of the Home page in place, and, at least one other design that shows how continuity among pages will be established on an interior page.
- A smartphone layout of your site, using template from: http://facebook.design/devices
- A tablet version of your site, using a template from: http://facebook.design/devices
- A list of at least five specific questions regarding your layouts that you would like to have addressed by your classmates during the review of this project.
By the due date, place these elements into a single PDF named lastname.pdf and upload it to the Discussion Area on the next page.
Review and Critique
By the end of the lesson week, review and discuss the screen design layouts. Refer to the questions asked by other students to complete your critique.
You should critique the work submitted by at least two other students, and address questions and comments made by others about your work in the Discussion Areaon the next page.
