During Week 3, we will examine prejudice and discrimination associated with one’s identity, think about how prejudice and discrimination apply to people, and think deeply about strategies for eliminating them.

• In your own words, define prejudice, discrimination, and racism. What are some real-world examples that you have seen in either your personal life, in the news, or in the media about how the words prejudice, discrimination, and stereotypes are used?
• How is discrimination also in the fabric of our social institutions including our educational, criminal justice, housing, health care, and employment systems?
