Read the short story, The Ones Who Walked Away from Omelas by Ursula LeGuin.

After reading the story, write a 2 1/2 - 3 pages essay, double spaced essay: that connects the story to our class, and then talks about what you learned from taking this class this quarter. 

All essays that talk about what you learned about race and/or life this quarter will get credit for the exam, but essays that do not attempt at least one paragraph that links the story to the class will not get full points.
