CRM-discussion 5
Operation Ceasefire and similar intervention programs nationwide have shown promise in their ability to deter violent crime through a strategy known as “pulling levers” that promoting the belief (often backed up in the justice system) that dire consequences will occur from committing violent crimes. However, the process of communities organizing and applying resources to successfully address a problem is nothing new. The process can work at the prevention as well as the intervention level.
