Rooney and Evans (2019) addressed key aspects of critical thinking on page 7 including the following: "Ask questions, objectively define problems, examine the available evidence, assess assumptions and biases, avoid emotional reasoning, separate facts from opinion, avoid oversimplifying,...".

Considering what you learned and briefly citing in the body of the writing and referencing one of those as you explain, why do you think that aspect of critical thinking is key to understanding and evaluating scientific studies ethically and/or otherwise?
