Critical Thinking

Objective: Apply critical thinking concepts to solve a business problem.

Introduction: Critical thinking skills are necessary for making clear decisions and conclusions when solving problems. This essay will give you the opportunity to use your critical thinking skills in exploring a business problem and proposing alternative solutions.

Deliverables: The essay for this lesson requires a minimum of 750 words that clearly demonstrate your understanding of the activity. Essays should have a clear introduction, thesis statement, and conclusion, written in APA format (APAstyle.org).  A minimum of three sources must be cited in-text and in the Reference List.

Activity Details:

Step 1: Read the following scenario and questions, then use what you have learned about critical thinking concepts to summarize your responses. It is highly recommended that you use these questions/prompts as level 1 subheadings in your essay.

 -Company CTS, a manufacturer of bicycles, is considering expanding into markets in Switzerland and the UK. 

-You have been tasked with a team to identify the top three strengths and weaknesses of this decision. 

-How would you use your reflective and analytical skills to do so?

-The CEO has also asked you and your team to present an argument with at least two solutions for these proposed expansions. What will be your argument? How     did you use your problem–solving skills to develop the argument?
