The strength of an argument is dependent upon the gap between the premise (meaning the evidence) and the conclusion (meaning the main claim).  Identify a commonly held conclusion (such as “Violent video games cause children to engage in violent behavior”), and then state one premise supporting that conclusion.  Is the gap between the premise and conclusion wide or narrow, or put differently, is it a strong inference?  Why or why not?
