Criminological Theory

There will be one paper during the semester. Students are required to cite the readings using APA.

Correct use of APA and grammar is worth 20% of this paper.

Also, do NOT quote from your sources at all. Always paraphrase (i.e. use all your own words).

The essay prompt is as follows:

• Pick a criminological theory.
• Fully describe the theory identifying its concepts and propositions.
• Critically evaluate the theory pointing out its strengths and weaknesses.
• Discuss results of empirical testing of the theory.
• Discuss policy implications for this theory.

This paper should be at least 1000 words long. (Not including cover page and reference page).

You must use at least five scholarly sources not including the class textbook.
