• Use the topic to write a thesis statement. Make sure you include: TOPIC, ARGUMENT ASSERTION, ESSAY MAP
• Use the essay map to create a topic sentence for each of the three body paragraphs.
• The thesis statement and the three (3) topic sentences should be submitted in the same MSWord file by 11:59 PM EST Sunday, Week 3.

Thesis statement:
The Beatles impacted the future of rock and roll because of their iconic looks, their
timeless lyrics and music, and their influence on young rockers.
Topic sentences with transition words:
• (Body Paragraph 1) Sporting mop-top haircuts and updated youthful clothing, the Beatles
unveiled a look that made them stand-outs among other rock and roll groups.
• (Body Paragraph 2) The Beatles created music with a timeless appeal.
• (Body Paragraph 3) Young rockers often imitated the Beatles’ style, expanding it to fit
their own musical tastes.
