Diagnose the problem and its origins. A critical element of this section is to apply leadership and organization concepts and models from our text, from class discussions, and from your literature review. Discuss the concepts, ideas, or insights that are most valuable in helping you make sense of the causes of the problem. Support your analysis with reference to appropriate research material. Refer to and appropriately include the information and ideas you developed in the two papers you researched and wrote in Weeks 5 and 6. To reiterate, the topics of those previous papers included: a) How organizational theories improve operations, b) How values and attitudes influence decision making, and c) Influence of various structures and lines of authority. Your research paper should address the following four course objectives, at a minimum: 1. Evaluate how organizational theories and practices can improve organizational operations (Week 5). 2. Identify your preferred solution and describe exactly what should be done and how it should be done, including by whom, with whom, and in what sequence. Always explain your thinking behind your final solution set. It's important to be clear about why a particular alternative (solution) was chosen, as opposed to others.

This company is a many-sided combination with a strong presence in telecommunications, media, entertainment, and technology, both domestically in the United States and internationally. Thus, my role in this company is ensuring that it is known by the consumers of its products. I also need to ensure customer satisfaction and a positive work environment to all the staff. Ensuring employee motivation is key to my role as a public relations manager.

The organizational culture of Comcast Corporation is known to have a strong impact on its decision-making strategies and patterns. These values govern the strategic vision, management decisions, and organizational culture, referring to the company’s dedication to high performance, creativity, ethical standards, and consumer needs (Nilsson & Lundmark, 2020). Regarding the principles guiding Comcast at the strategic level, it is imperative to pinpoint that customer-centricity is among the most crucial priorities of the company. This value underscores the organization’s constant dedication to identifying the needs of the various customer groups. Another key cultural value critical to decision making at Comcast is innovation. This means that the organization uses innovation as a tool for growth, differentiation and competitive advantage in the evolving telecommunications and media environment (Nilsson & Lundmark, 2020). Top managers of Comcast focus on innovative technologies, content generation, and digital ecosystems favorable for the company’s development in the various segments.
Ethical issues and organizational integrity are the fundamentals that underpin Comcast’s management decision-making processes. The organization values and demonstrates… Regulatory compliance, business integrity, and stakeholder management activities are in line with the Comcast Ethical Leader and Social Responsibility program.
Influence on Organizational Structures and Lines of Authority
The organizational structure and functions of Comcast provide necessary lines of authority to support decision making and collaboration while maintaining compliance with the company’s organizational values. This system of organizing creates reporting relationships, accountability, and decision-making responsibilities at all management levels (Joseph & Gaba, 2020). Strategic decisions are normally made at the executive level and involve the consideration of opinions from functional departments, business units and other outside parties. There are also cross-functional teams and task forces that are created to address certain issues, foster creativity, and support the realization of strategic activities that are consistent with Comcast’s culture and vision for the future.
In the case of Comcast, culture has an impact on the organizational structure and patterns of leadership within the company. It is a social fact that when the leader establishes himself or herself as a role model of the values of the organization, the workers have trust, motivation, and active participation in the organization (Joseph & Gaba, 2020). This article confirms that visionary, empowering, and collaborative leadership approaches are helpful in supporting innovation, creativity, and successful adaptation in an industry.
Impact on Enterprise-Wide Functions in the Global Economy
Values and attitudes are critical to enterprise-wide functions within the global economic system where they impact on the organizations strategy for internationalization, intercultural communication, global ethics and corporate sustainability. Thus, it is possible to note that such values as diversity and inclusion may serve as key incentives for Comcast in terms of promoting cultural sensitivity and diversity of employees in supply allowing the company to be more successful in the global environment (Ziemann, 2022).
Organizational perspectives toward sustainability and environmental concern can impact various organizational functions including supply chain, new product development, and marketing communicational strategy (Ziemann, 2022). Possible implementation of change might include a decision to work only with environmentally friendly suppliers, to create products and services that minimize environmental impact and to advertise environmentally friendly values.
Also, beliefs about ethical business behavior and corporate responsibility may influence the company’s interactions with the stakeholders, its legal obligations, and its role in non-profit initiatives across the globe (Ziemann, 2022). Thus, positive organizational culture regarding social responsibility can lead to philanthropic activities, community engagement activities, and attempts to overcome social and environmental issues in the regions where Comcast works.
Preliminary Solutions
Thus, to tackle the issue of enhancing customer service as the primary subject of the research, Comcast can consider some preliminary solutions. Human capital development, particularly training in aspects that are closely related to the customers, will improve the service delivery and communication skills (Kurdi et al., 2020). When feedback mechanisms are established utilizing innovation and implementing ongoing improvement, customers’ information is gathered proactively. Glorification of frontline employees fosters the culture of employee empowerment and accountability to work, which make it easier to solve issues. Embracing and encouraging customer orientation encourages loyalty and satisfaction, while investments in technology enable innovative and efficient delivery of services. Conclusion
Values and attitudes play a significant role in Comcast Corporation’s operational strategies and functioning, including decision-making, organizational chart, authorization hierarchy, and universal functions. Comcast successfully synchronizes strategic management objectives, management operations, and organizational culture with its values and principles in order to promote change, provide outstanding customer services, encourage employee commitment, and generate sustainable shareholder value in the global economy.
