A long-term Logistics Analyst job in Mountain View, CA is currently available through Modis Engineering, formally Adecco group.

The role:
- The logistics analysts our client is seeking is self-motivated and can manage their workloads independently.
- They will be comfortable working in an office connected to a hardware lab.
- The right candidate will be process driven, system level thinker, curious about learning new things and can push themselves beyond expectations.
Logistics Analyst Job Responsibilities include:
- Manage shipment requests for domestic and international orders and provide status updates to relevant stakeholders through delivery
- Work with the trade compliance team and 3PLs to ensure all international shipments comply with export/import regulations
- Facilitate the packaging and labeling of dangerous goods for air shipment
- Assist with equipment forecasting, local inventory management, and distribution
- Helpdesk support via ticketing system (similar to Zendesk)
- Work with Field Technicians to meet repair deadlines with necessary approvals, equipment availability and shipping.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of international shipping procedures and documents, including the role and purpose of commercial invoices
- Prior professional experience in logistics
- Expert knowledge of: Forward, Reverse, and Third-Party Logistics (3PL) workflows, Commercial invoice forms, packing list, shipper’s export declarations
- Working knowledge of: FedEx Ship Manager, DHL Import/Export Portals, Tariff classifications, import duties and tax assessments
- Familiarity with: Manufacturing and assembly documentation (BOM, drawings), PLM software, temporary import types
- Excellent analytical and organization skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Business or international relations coursework or degree
- Dangerous goods training/certificates
- AES account (or eligible to apply for one)
