Explain the complexities of the Syrian Civil War—who is fighting there and why. This is important to know, but even more useful for your essay will be the explanation for how and why this is happening. Hint: Understand and explain the various factions in Syria involved in the conflict (who is with or against each other). Is an end in sight? What steps will need to be taken to resolve the issue in more than a temporary ceasefire.
