conception of spirituality

Spirituality is individuality. It is according to our own beliefs and our faith in a higher power. According to Dr. Maya Spencer of Royal College of Psychiatrists, Spirituality is defined as the recognition of a feeling or sense or belief that there is something greater than ourselves that is more to being human than sensory experience. I believe in patient autonomy and I have respect for the patients' beliefs. Because when we deal with and care for patients, our emotions, own opinions, and even our beliefs are disregarded without judgment. We have to focus only on the patient and advocate for them in lined with their own faith. We can only influence them when they are open and if it is asked. Whenever the patient has a ritual based on their beliefs or two religion, we allow them to perform it not unless it could hinder their treatment medically.
