Per  the textbook, technology is a key driver of change and an important  source of competitive advantage in business environments. Examine the  overall manner in which an enterprise could exploit the opportunities  that technology offers in order to establish or sustain a competitive  advantage. Include a real-world example to support your response.

First,  being proactive, staying current, and embracing new ideas and  innovation are best ways for enterprise to exploit the opportunities  technology offers in today's contemporary business  environment. Businesses can exploit opportunities that technology offers  to capture competitive advantage by measuring what their buyer and  supplier power is, also what the threat of substitute products, new  entrants and rivalries among competitors are. New strategies can be  determined from knowing a business’s strengths and weaknesses, and can  use technology to help attract new customers, provide ultimate quality  in customer service, or use newer technology to help streamline business  processes in such a way that it is noticeably better than competitors.  Apple is a company that strongly depends on newer technologies to place  them in the superior position of competitive advantage. Apple, Inc.  leaves nothing to chance, their products lead the way in technology  (features/apps etc.) and created that medium from introducing things  like the IPhone and the Apple watch, in which has garnered the company  sustained competitive advantage. Because as you think they are finished  putting out a phone series (i.e.,, iPhone, iPhone 5, iPhone 6 etc.) they  come right back and introduce another phone with more features and  better technology. Apple is the best choice (in my opinion) to exemplify  the use of technology in today’s world, and how it has set them apart  from the rest (sustained competitive advantage) in that customers now  expect nothing but the latest and best in technological devices from  Apple.
