In a paragraph, compare and contrast defined benefit retirement plans and defined contribution retirement plans using outside sources. Provide at least 2 examples of each type of plan. In another paragraph, summarize findings from at least 2 retirement studies from journals.

There are two main types of benefit plans offered if you work for a large employer.  To summarize their differences, you may want to look for answers to these questions:

-Who can contribute to the plan?

-Who chooses how money is invested inside the plan?

-What does the employee have a right to if he or she leaves the company or if the company closes?
