Commentary Assignment

7. Commentary Assignment over Ephesians 1:3-14 (ESV). 

1. The student will review the course presentation covering commentaries and Chapter 6 “The Historical-Cultural Context” of the course textbook. 
2. Using the approved Bible software, the student will examine commentaries to determine historical-cultural information about the passage Ephesians 1:3-14 (ESV).
3. Summarize what scholars are saying.
4. Three commentaries will each be used twice, for a total of six citations. (3 x 2 = 6)
5. The student may research the background of any verse and the whole passage.
6. Each entry should be 3-4 sentences.
7. NOTE: The student is required to use approved Bible software when applicable.
8. Save this assignment for inclusion in the Interpretive Journey Project.
