Canada trades with a variety of countries all of the world, for a vast array of products and services.
Choose a company in Mexico that actively trades with Canada, and create a business report profiling this company. Include the following.
- an overview of the company, including locations, assets, main products, management profiles, financial status, etc. use this company's annual reports in your research.
- evaluate the benefits and drawbacks for both parties (Canada & Mexico) regarding this trade relationship.
- describe how trade between these companies increased the interdependence of these two countries.
- Create a short report detailing the top 25 exports from Canada to Mexico.
- Create a short report detailing the top 25 imports to Canada from Mexico.
- Analyze import and export statistics for this company's product sector including data on the entire sector, and on the company itself. Include the reports from #4 and #5 generated from the industry Canada trade database (https://www.ic.gc.ca/app/scr/tdst/tdo/crtr.html?&productType=HS6&lang=eng).
- describe any barriers to trade this company experiences. This may include subsidies, tariffs, embargoes, standards etc.
Format your work is a report in one word processor document. Include a meaningful title, name, headings, and embedded graphics. Write in full sentences, using proper paragraphing. Provide in text references, and a sources cited section.
Submit your work to the dropbox. This work will be graded and will count towards your final mark.
