        Every company, no matter how well managed, is vulnerable to a public crisis that threatens its reputation or goodwill. Based on the crisis management information discussed in this module,
      it is important to keep the following items in mind: 
  • Do not delay in responding to the crisis.
  • A high-ranking company official should be designated as the contact for the media.
  • Acknowledge the issues in a correct manner and identify with your audience.
  • Always focus on the facts when responding to questions.
  • Do not respond “no comment” – offer to make inquiry and respond back.
        Respond to the following in 1-2 full paragraphs:   
        Describe how your Capstone company dealt with a public crisis using the steps outlined above.
      If you cannot find a recent example with your Capstone company, describe how a competitor or another company handled a recent public crisis.
      Be sure to provide enough information about the crisis that I will be able to effectivelyunderstand the decisions that were made.
