Attached is the previous submission, we are just updating the document.
This is the second of three assignments that, as a whole, will cover all aspects of the project life cycle relevant to your selected project.
Assume that your project sponsor has reviewed the project proposal and has asked that you make some changes to it.
- Provide a brief summary of your project.
- Update the goals and objectives based upon your project sponsor's feedback, and add two more goals and objectives. (Use your professor's feedback to update your goals and objectives.)
- Contrary to popular belief – project goals and objectives (you must provide at least FOUR for each) has nothing to do with solely delivering the project on time and within budget (although time and budget can be a part just not the only part). Goals expand and or add dimension to "what" the project will deliver. Objective provide "how" these same goals will be reached.
- Example: My scope is to build a 3 bedroom 2 bath house; my project goals would be that the house be 1. Eco friendly and 2. Energy efficient. My project objectives are how I will reach these project goals: Example 1. Use chemical free materials and 2. Use the best energy efficient appliances.
Project Goals ARE RELATED to Project Objectives. State your project goal followed by the project objectives.

- First - delivering project on time, within budget and within scope are NOT project goals/objectives. These are the natural expectations of all projects (project management goals) also refer to as the Triple Constraint or Golden Triangle:
- If my scope is to deliver a security software system:
- Goal 1 (What?) Software must be easy to use ---> Objective 1 (How?) Use friendly navigational screens
- Goal 2 (What?) Software should prevent Hacking ---> Objective 2 (How?) Research/implement best anti Hacking coding
- All the goals provide more details to the WHAT is to be deliver..and objectives detail HOW these goals will be achieved.
- Describe at least three key milestones and/or deliverables for your project. Milestones are group of related tasks (Milestone: Foundation : related tasks: pull permit, order heavy equipment, dig foundation, haul dirt, reinforce foundation, install plumbing etc etc.- when all related tasks are done then the milestone is complete)
- Describe a high-level timeline that includes key tasks and deadlines. Key tasks specifically related to the project: activities that must be completed to deliver project. NOT TASKS: MEETINGS, REPORTS, PLANNING, DEFINING. These are PM processes not tasks,
- Estimate the project's overall cost and any key staffing and non-staffing resources needed. If not using non-staffing resources (rental equipment , space etc) make sure you state SO.

- Corporate strategy is concerned with the broad and long-term questions of what business(es) the organization is in or wants to be in. One thing we need to know is whether the organization is a single-business organization (in primarily one industry) or a
