Application: Résumé and Final Portfolio

Over the last 4 weeks you have been organizing, compiling, and analyzing artifacts for your human services professional portfolio. As you reviewed these materials, you have had time to reflect on your skills and accomplishments in the BS in Human Services program. Hopefully, by now you can envision yourself in the field as you take the final steps toward completing the capstone of your academic experience—your portfolio.

For this Assignment, you create your résumé and review all necessary documents for your portfolio.

To Prepare for this Assignment:

• Review all materials for this course, including your collection of portfolio materials from Weeks 1–4: philosophy statement, artifacts, and rationales.
• Make any necessary revisions to these materials, incorporating any feedback provided by the Instructor. Note: Only clean, unmarked copies of documents should be submitted for the final portfolio.
• Consult the Walden University Career Services Center for information on résumé writing.

The Assignment:

Submit a résumé.

• Develop a résumé for your portfolio. 
• Add the résumé as the final piece of documentation to your portfolio.
• Be sure documents are clean and free of any “track-changes” mark-ups.
