With political debates ramping up on both sides of the aisle, many students are surprised to learn how much of the disagreement surrounds economic issues. What you're learning in this course should assist you in better evaluation of candidates' claims and policy prescriptions, allowing you to make more informed choices in the polls.

Your assignment - Pick any 4 candidates from either (or both) side(s) of the aisle. There are still about 15 people running on the Democratic ticket, and I believe 4 (President Trump and three challengers) on the Republican ticket, so there are lots of possible combinations. Then pick a specific economic issue (wages, income inequality, trade, taxes, healthcare, free college, student loan forgiveness, etc...)

BRIEFLY summarize your 4 candidates' views on the specific issue you selected. (You can find most views laid out clearly on candidates' websites, or you can find charts comparing views laid out nicely on issue-based websites.)  

Conclude with a short assessment of which candidate's views you find most consistent with economic theory and why.
