Arugument Paper

 

This project has multiple parts. Be sure you remember to do everything. Some, like the proposal and annotated bibliography, have been given their own section in the Assignments list. Others must be attended to here. 

The main paper:

A 4-5 page (plus Works Cited) research-based argument paper that takes a position on a topic drawn from one of the interests in your Idea Collection. 

The secondary paper:

You will create one of the following:

• A meme expressing your position
• An instagram post expressing your position
• A tweet expressing your position

And a paragraph describing your process, including your goals and an examination of the challenges/restrictions/requirements of the medium. 

Topic: Must be drawn from your Idea Collection, though you may revise research questions and approaches. 

Thesis: Your thesis must be debatable. Do not choose something that is a fact, relies too heavily on conjecture (the mind-reader questions or the "What ifs"), or is simply too big to handle (the meaning of life variety). 

Sources: You must use secondary sources to support your thesis. All sources must come from the Virtual Library--except for those from your Idea Collection. You must use at least two new sources. 

Voice: While you are taking a position, this paper should not be in first-person.
