Art and ethics

(1) Analyze a specific artistic case study – one other than that of those case studies discussed in class – in order to come to some insight/conclusion regarding the relationship between ethics and aesthetics. Your insight/conclusion regarding the relationship between ethics and aesthetics may be restricted to your specific case study or may be much more broad.

(2) Write an argumentative research paper on some aspect of the historical debate regarding the relationship of art and ethics in the Western

intellectual tradition.
