 Two of the most common ways of analyzing a work of art are formalist and ideological criticism. Choose the position that you prefer and analyze and discuss these two presidential portraits. Yes, you may do outside research, but your response must be written entirely in your own words. Use new vocabulary when possible (i.e. iconography and media). Your essay should be at least 1 page in length with roughly 1-2 paragraphs on each work.
