Annotated Bibliography

An annotated bibliography serves two functions. First, it is a bibliography. Second, it gives a very short summary of all of the sources, and any extra information you will need to write your paper. The very short summary will help others who encounter the bibliography (including the other members of your group and me) what the major argument of the article is, so that we will know if we need to read the entire article and what parts of the article will be helpful for your topic.

  • Every source that each member of the group submitted in the 7-sources assignment should be included in the bibliography, along with any relevant sources members of the group have since found. Combined, your group should have at least 21 if you are in a group of 3 and 28 sources if you are in a group of 4.
  • The bibliographical entries need to be formatted properly using APA or MLA style (depending on your discipline). The entire bibliography should be organized alphabetically (NOT topically or by each student).

Formatting

Use a standard 12-point font, with standard margins, double-spaced, with numbered pages, and the names of the group members, name of the instructor, etc. at the top of the first page.
