English 251 Advertisement/Movie Poster

You will create an advertisement poster for a Native American speech or letter (pages 631-648). Your poster should include the name of the speaker or writer, the purpose and/or occasion of the piece, at least one quote/blurb from the piece that hints at or summarizes the piece’s overall message, and a visual to represent the piece. You can use movie posters and speech or book advertisements as models. Your visual can be hand drawn or include pictures from online sources (online classes will can submit a photo if hand-drawn).

Your presentation/paragraph should include an explanation of your poster’s design, autobiographical information about your speaker or writer, and a summary of the piece, including why the piece was written (author’s purpose) and who the intended audience was. You can also include any additional quotes that you feel are relevant to understanding the piece and its themes or are profound in some way.
