Jeremiah:

The Soviet Union after WW2 scared the United States so bad they it caused mistrust in all ways of life across the states. We even came up with a name for the soviet union, this era was called the “Red Scare” in their allegiance to the Soviet flag. Even though Russia and the US were allies during the war, Russia started to claim territories in Europe by force. Russia would then make these countries become communist and this created panic across Europe and eventually made it way to the US. The fear of communism affected policy and influenced our culture
