American foreign policy

This research project asks you to think about and explain the complicated relationship between American foreign policy and American democracy.

What follows are general guidelines for the paper. 

Choose a Story Topic. You are invited to choose any topic in the history of American foreign policy that is of interest to you and relate it to the principles of American democracy. Just be sure that, for whatever topic you choose, discoverable primary and secondary sources are available to inform your research and support your conclusions.
