As of yesterday, Texas is now open carry and you don’t need a license anymore either. From a person who works in the financial institution, I truly believe it could make it a little more dangerous for us, because even though everyone should know they cannot have weapons on the grounds, will it stop them? I think it’s crazy, don’t get me wrong I have guns too, but we have always had licenses and played by the laws. The ones who follow the laws aren’t the ones who worry me it’s the ones who are dangerous, or not in their right mind, I believe businesses are going to have issues controlling people open carry. I know that Texas isn’t the first state that has this constitutional carry, but it’s new and honestly scary. I just hope especially in my line of work we do not have to experience anyone that shouldn’t have this opportunity take advantage of it. I do not really care to watch the news, because it’s just so depressing, but this one is a big one in my household, and me working in a financial institution makes my job seem a little more dangerous. But again only to the ones who misuse it.
