What were the causes of America’s entry into World War I?

                                        CLASSMATE’S POST

The cause of the United States entry into WWl including the sinking of a passenger ship name Lusitania which was sunk by a German U-boat killing 128 Americans. The ship was carrying military equipment also. The Americans were infuriated because the 1,000 passengers on board were not warned before sinking of the ship Lusitania. President Wilson asked Congress to declare war against Germany, and the United States entry into WWl. There were German stories told that shocked Americans that unarmed civilians being killed and small towns being destroyed which circulated throughout the press. Although it ended up being German propaganda. Also unrestricted warfare, which Germany turned to unrestricted submarine warfare to goods from reaching Great Britian. Germany promised to stop submarine war fare but one year later torpedoed another passenger ship.
