Select a grade level Pre-K to 3rd grade as well as a state standard and explain the importance of phonological and phonemic awareness. How are children’s reading skills affected? What is developmentally appropriate for the grade level you chose?

 Look at your state standards for kindergarten. Choose one standard that directly aligns with phonemic awareness skills and one with phonological awareness skills. Write a measurable objective and an activity for both of the chosen standards.
