200 WORD RESPONSE to this post
Governments and public sector organizations should not cede authority or direct responsibility over goods and services to private and third sector entities because its their responsibility to service and provide for their community. Relinquishing that responsibilty it as if they are abandoning their duty and their citizens therefore, they are not receiving the best possible dedication or service. Possibly, in the event of some lesser tasks being fulfilled then perhaps some assistance may be needed but for all primary and main tasks these should not be delegated out. When governments delegate some responsibilities to third parties there needs to be accountability if laws or rules are broken specifically, fines even jail if actions taken were so atrocious. There has to be strict accountability and an understanding from the beginning of what will and won't be tolerated to ensure rules are being followed.
