Your  Topic and Annotated Bibliography should include:

A paragraph describing the topic and types of questions or issues you will be investigating. A paragraph includes at least three complete sentences.

• Your bibliography  must include at least 4 possible sources.  1 of these sources must be primary source( newspaper, photo, cartoon, etc.. published during the time period you are researching).

The other three sources can come from a combination of the following a book, chapter of a book, article from peer-review journal.

Wikipedia, Blogs, Endnotes, and similar internet pages do not count as valid sources for this paper. You may consult these sources but do not cite them in your paper as they are considered non-peer review material.

• Your bibliography must be annotated. “Annotated” means that you must include a sentence below each bibliographic entry describing how the item listed relates to your topic or what research questions you hope the item will address.
• An attempt to use Chicago style bibliographic format.

Carroll, Patrick J. Felix Longoria’s Wake: Bereavement, Racism and the Rise of Mexican American Activism, Austin: University of Texas Press, 2003

In Felix Longoria’s Wake, Carroll analyzes inequality in the schooling of Mexican Americans in South Texas. My topic is the way in which Latinos experienced segregation in schools in New Mexico before 1960. I hope Carroll’s analysis will help me to analyze how segregation worked in Texas in comparison.
