My personal professional goals in regards to my 2eld educa*on experience is to become more
competent as a social worker, enhance on the skills that I have developed thus from my experience
during 2eld I and 2eld II , as well be able to con*nue to apply the knowledge that I have gained during
my coursework into the interac*ons that I will have with the clients that I will interact and engage with
during my 2eld experience. One of my personal professional goals is become more con2dent in myself
when it comes to conduc*ng assessments. One of my du*es at my placement site is conduc*ng
behavioral assessments. Me conduc*ng the behavioral assessment will assist with making me feel more
con2dent and comfortable conduc*ng various types of assessments in the future. Also at my placement
site I also be responsible to facilita*ng some group sessions, facilita*ng group sessions can give me an
idea to how group therapy sessions are conducted, which is important to me because in the future, one
of things I want to do is provide family therapy.
“Field Prac*cum is to create an opportunity for students to work in a professional se7ng with
purpose of crea*ng a development and an understanding of diversity within the community, and
applying concepts and methods in a se7ng outside of the classroom” (Garthwaite 2017). One of the
many ways that my personal professional goals could be re;ected in learning agreement that I have with
my agency is the way in which I learn. I learn from doing and being hand on rather than just reading and
seeing. During my 2eld placement I will always be open to receiving construc*ve cri*cism and feedback
on my performance so that I know how I can improve in order to become a more pro2cient social
worker and therapist
