Examine Case Study: Pakistani Woman with Delusional Thought Processes.
Case: Pakistani Woman with Delusional Thought Processes. Her complaints include
illusions that she receives messages through the TV from the Prophet Mohammed and says she is
not coping with her Risperdal because of anxiety in her husband's poisoning. The Scale of
Positive and Negative Syndrome (PANSS) is used for the purpose of measuring the severity of
its symptoms and for evaluating treatment affectivity (Leucht et al., 2005). She received a
diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia, her ratings suggested serious illness. Although these
symptoms can vary from person to person, this disease may be extremely weak. During late
adolescence, the disorder is usually diagnosed to occur during men rather than women (NIH,
2018). The world's top 15 disability disorders are schizophrenia (NIH, 2018).
Decision One
On the day four and then every week with INVEGE Sustenna 234 mg IM x1 due to
Pakistani women diagnosed with bipolar disorder, the patient was scheduled. The patient was
chosen because riskperdal sensitivity has been delivered orally since he or she has left the
hospital, as the INVEGA Risperdone metabolite is active (Stahl, 2014b). Oral tolerance is one
condition which must be met before a drug is administered.
The drug is also used to calm the mood and helps to minimize hostility exhibited by the
patient with the manufacturer during the induction process. Due to the effects of the medicament
and the available route of administration, the best alternative for this client was chosen because
oral medicines were not compliant.
The decision not to use the Zyprexa 10 mg orally in bedtime was taken because of the
adverse effects that a patient can experience from the drug. As a result of slow drug
metabolisation factors such as gender, gender should not start with 10 mg of the medication,
according to the Medical Desk Guide (National Alliance on Mental Illness, 2018).
Goals and Outcomes
At 4 weeks, the client reported reduction of 20% in symptoms. Stahl (2014b) says that
approximately one third of the symptoms will be minimized if the drug is effective. These are
anticipated results, therefore. It is the optimal therapeutic target.
Decision Two
It was decided to retain the patient at the same dosage as symptoms were reduced in the
first four weeks. At this point, the treatment plan did not have to include Abilify. At present it
was not necessary to stop INVEGA sustenna and to continue Haldol.
Goals and Outcomes
Although the aim is to the symptoms, it was an impressive result to the client that the
symptoms decreased by 50% (Stahl, 2014b). The customer likes the drug, but is concerned about
a minor weight gain. This was also a likely intended result to be tracked during this medication
therapy.
Decision Three
It was decided that the medication should be continued. A gain of 4.5 pounds over 60
days is less weight as the person wasn't too much weight before the treatment was initiated. In
order to avoid metobolism, the individual will be encouraged to maintain a healthier lifestyle and
weight (National Alliance on Mental Health, 2018). Their work will help them maintain a
healthy lifestyle and weights. As the manufacturer, it did not seem necessary to shift INVEGA to
Abilify with overlap. As an injectable, Abilify will have an interval of oral medication for 2
weeks that in the past has been unworkable because of its incompliance to the client's oral
product (NAMI, 2018). The Qsymia has not been selected because the consumer did not have
weight loss.
Goals and Outcomes
A known potential adverse effect of INVEGA is weight gain. It wasn't even possible not
to start a new medicine to minimize the customer's weight.
Ethical Implications
In working with schizophrenic people, the ethical consequences can be difficult. Having a
man who is helpful in keeping customer compliance helps to alleviate these problems. Another
ethical issue is that partial truths should not be kept indefinitely, so that the patient can return for
counseling (Howe, 2008). Howe (2008) says it's an extremely sensitive task both to balance the
patient's absence of harm and to value and appreciate the autonomy of the client.
Conclusion
The problem for schizophrenic clients is not only a chronic condition that calls for
maintenance care, but also the positive and negative effects that can occur before the treatment
begins. INVEGA injections are available via maintenance therapy, where the patient is not
forced to take a drug every day to alleviate routine dose adherence problems. However, minor
side effects can also arise, such as slight weight changes that have to be controlled and diet and
exercise guidance may help customers adapt.
