The two factors you should consider when evaluating an argument are creditability
and relevance. Creditability is the importance of an argument, it is your evidence to
back up your claim in an argument. While relevance is making sure the evidence you
have supports your argument and that it is logical. I would say that the difference
between inductive and deductive arguments is that one you can count on and the
other does not give you certainty. Deductive arguments give you claims that can be
proven with evidence. While inductive arguments do not give you claims that are
certain, but more so of an opinion is how I look at it. Both are very different so when
constructing an argument you want to make sure you understand both definitions to
see how you want to present your argument.
This week I enjoyed reading chapters 7 and 8 as they introduced inductive and
deductive arguments. I learned the difference in both and how to use one over the
other. Knowing and understand both of these arguments can help you better
organize your claims and how to have them better supported depending on which
argument you are using
