Emotions can influence your critical thinking thoughts by getting in the way or
pushing you to conclusion that may have been hard to get to without emotions.If
you have unresolved issues from your past you may react according to that.It is best
to analyze the way you are ACTUALLY feeling and be able to heal and then make
sound decisions.Your thoughts and feelings can push you to react in certain ways
and those are all connected to your emotions.
As I have talked about in week 1 I have recently transitioned roles within my
company and I have had to do a lot of critical thinking to make these
decisions.Along with that there has been a lot of emotion tied to my decision making
and I have had to step back and make sure I am not making rash, vulnerable or
quick decisions because I am mad, upset, betrayed or feel like I am being
overlooked.The reason I made the decision in the end was because I am going to
better and advance my career.
Language and communication can influence your critical thinking in an interesting
way that I have never looked at before.If you speak directive or expressive, emotive
or ceremonial.It can all affect how your decision turns out.You can also be speaking
without using actual words and how you are being portrayed to other people.
I think the most interesting thing that I had not thought about was that that
emotions can influence your critical thinking decision.I thought you took emotion out
completely when you were critically thinking.But after the reading it was made clear
that even if you are trying to take emotion out that it is still going to have emotion
that is positive or negative as apart of your decision.
