I am choosing the two study objectives that I scored the lowest on this week. The
first one is considering opportunity cost and marginal effects in making personal
finance decisions. Before taking this course I had no idea that this even existed so I
have little to no knowledge about it. To me I need to pay attention to more of all of
the little spending that I do. For example what am I giving up by spending money on
things that I don't need? What is it doing to my future financial planning? I am almost
30 years old so this is definitely something I want to consider looking deeper into.
The second objective I need to study more is describing how individual
characteristics and economic factors influence personal financial planning. I have a
lot going on in my life so I don't really dedicate much of my time looking into the
economy and planning my financial future. It is definitely something I need to
consider spending time looking into.'
What I am learning more and more is that I need to focus on financial planning for
my kid's futures. I wish that I would have already started saving for their educations
but it isn't easy when you have 4 children to save for. There are consequences for
student loans and I wish they wouldn't have to take them out so I am working hard
to save up money for them in the future. I really need to stop living day to day and
start focusing on having a comfortable life in the future.'
