I have seen myself become more confident in my writing and the ability to put
thought to paper. Over the last five weeks I found the courage to lead myself
through my opinions and find facts to reinforce my beliefs. When I entered this class
I had already taken it once and had some family issues that kept me from getting my
work done and to be honest I was intimidated by writing and I didn't have the faith in
myself to confront the beast that was Writing. After seeing myself not make the
grade on the first run, it gave me the needed push to ask for help. I talked to my
advisor and my wife for days about what I would do differently to make it through. I
am proud to say I have the highest grade I have received so far in my return to
academics and I can say that it wouldn't be possible without the things I have
learned in this class. I will take my newfound courage and skills and apply them
directly to my final essay and finish the class with even more added confidence.
