Linux
Linux was developed in 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux can be used as a platform
to run desktops, embedded systems, and servers. It is based on the Unix operating
systems. Linux is an open-sourced operating system, which means users can download it
for free. Linux is also big on security, there are “locks” on every single layer to prevent
hackers. Also, software updates are available more often and are much easier to install
and there is no need to worry about facing any major issue or concern. The easy-to-use
desktop environment are simple and boost productivity because of how easy things are to
access. You can install or execute anything with just one line of command. It’s also
flexible because installation can be customized for specific hardware. Linux also offers
dozens of free educational applications.
