The lab that I learned the most from in week 2 was lab 3.1.1 Conducting Vulnerability
Scanning Using Nessus. I found it very interesting as I have never used this tool before.
The lab gives me the ability to walk through step by step how to conduct vulnerability
scanning using Nessus. The ability for Nessus to scan for a default password, a weak
password, missing patches or updates, and DOS is very powerful.&
As far as my least favorite or the one I learned the least from that would be 3.2.1
Installing Antivirus, I was already familiar with antivirus software so this came as no
surprise to me on how to use it. In the past, I have used Avast to install and check my PC
for viruses, worms, and things of that nature. Avast is a great free antivirus scanner. I
feel as though sometimes these tools can miss critical issues that are going on with the
PC. It was also my least favourite because I did not learn anything new to add to my
technical toolbox.
Overall, the labs in this class provide to be beneficial to learning the material and
concepts taught in this class. I enjoy the hands-on that the labs provided.
