Assignment 10: Designing Technical Safeguards for a Cloud-Based Startup
Imagine you are an Information Security consultant for a startup company that relies heavily
on cloud services for data storage and application hosting. Write a three to five-page paper in
which you:
1. Analyze proper physical access control safeguards for the company's cloud servers and
provide recommendations for securing sensitive data.
2. Recommend the proper audit controls to be employed to monitor cloud-based data
access and usage.
3. Suggest three logical access control methods to restrict unauthorized access to cloud-
based resources, and explain why you suggested each method.
4. Analyze how data is transmitted to and from the cloud servers, and identify
techniques that may be used to provide data transmission security safeguards.
