In Part LXXXIV of your business plan, you will focus on strategic human resource management (SHRM) to align
human capital strategies with organizational goals, foster employee development, and enhance organizational
performance. Your objective is to develop a comprehensive SHRM framework that supports talent acquisition,
talent development, and talent retention strategies.
Write a paper in which you:
1. Conduct a human resource analysis to assess human capital capabilities, identify human resource gaps,
and evaluate human resource effectiveness within your organization. Analyze human resource functions
such as recruitment, selection, training, performance management, and employee relations that impact
organizational performance. Evaluate human resource metrics such as employee turnover rates, employee
engagement scores, and talent pipeline metrics that measure human resource effectiveness and efficiency.
2. Define strategic human resource management objectives, goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
that align with organizational objectives and support business growth and competitiveness. Establish
clear, measurable, and achievable HR targets such as employee retention rates, employee productivity
levels, and employee satisfaction ratings. Develop SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant,
Time-bound) HR objectives that provide clear direction and focus for HR initiatives.
3. Develop a talent acquisition strategy to attract, recruit, and select top talent that meets organizational
needs and enhances organizational capabilities. Analyze talent sourcing channels such as internal
recruitment, external recruitment, and online recruitment that identify and attract qualified candidates.
Develop recruitment marketing campaigns, employer branding initiatives, and candidate assessment
processes that engage candidates and differentiate your organization as an employer of choice.
4. Develop a talent development strategy to build employee capabilities, foster employee growth, and
promote career advancement within your organization. Analyze training needs assessments, skills gap
analyses, and competency frameworks that identify employee development needs and priorities. Develop
training programs, leadership development initiatives, and career development pathways that enhance
employee skills, knowledge, and competencies and support succession planning efforts.
5. Develop a performance management strategy to set performance expectations, evaluate employee
performance, and reward high performance within your organization. Analyze performance appraisal
systems, performance feedback mechanisms, and performance recognition programs that measure
employee performance and drive performance improvement. Develop performance goals, performance
metrics, and performance evaluation criteria that align with organizational objectives and promote a
performance-driven culture.
6. Develop an employee engagement strategy to enhance employee motivation, increase employee
commitment, and improve employee satisfaction within your organization. Analyze employee
engagement surveys, employee satisfaction scores, and employee retention rates that measure employee
engagement and satisfaction levels. Develop employee engagement programs, employee recognition
initiatives, and employee feedback mechanisms that foster a positive work environment and promote
employee well-being and productivity.
7. Develop a compensation and benefits strategy to attract, retain, and motivate employees, and ensure
competitive compensation practices within your organization. Analyze compensation benchmarking data,
salary surveys, and benefits benchmarking reports that evaluate compensation competitiveness and
benefit adequacy. Develop compensation structures, incentive plans, and benefits packages that align with
market standards and employee expectations and support employee retention and performance.
