Sexual Abuse in Youth Sports
Coaches have been sexually abusing young athletes for decades, and no one has been
warning the police or anything else to protect innocent lives. These are not incidents or
something that is specific to a particular sport. Sexual abuse is a serious problem for athletes in
all young sports. Child predators come to sports organisations, as they are aware that, when they
have their foot in the door, they will have almost unlimited access to children who have
guaranteed their best interests for adults. This allows abusers to look after possible victims.
Young athletes are especially attractive victims, as abusers are almost always familiar with the
children and their parents. Athletes and their families at higher levels are using unorthodox
education regimes and particularly close ties with coaches, mentors and personnel who would be
a rotten flag of abuse that flies below the radar. The culture of many sports organizations
strengthens bad behavior as pain strengthens you and you are weak by complaining. Children are
often predatory for successful coaching staff, or they are specialized in a particular sport who
knows well that until the team wins, nobody pays too much attention to his behaviour. When a
coach is charged or even caught in action, he is often shot without ceremony and told to leave the
city or be told to police. Days later, another organization working with new children announced
they had made a major contract. It is known as "passing through the trash" and is very common.
Sport organizations, clubs and schools seem unconcerned about endangering different children
until they have no trouble on their team.
