Mission Statement
My academic mission is to successfully complete a bachelor's degree in computer science by the next year and expand my knowledge relating to
the evolving technological landscape. I wish to use the acquired skills, knowledge, and expertise on computers and computational systems that I
have acquired in my degree in the dynamic professional landscape. The learning would act as a vital instrument for me that would help me to
effectively adapt to the evolving technology-driven business environment of the current times. I would use the knowledge in the computer science
domain to further pursue a master’s degree and then a PhD. I would want to expand my knowledge on the technology-based subject so that I
could establish an IT organization that offers security solutions to its customers. Through the organization, I would offer high-quality security
solutions to the clients and customers so that they could be safeguarded in the unpredictable cyber setting from cybercriminals and online
attackers. Thus I want to optimally use my knowledge of computer science by starting a profitable concern that would deliver value for the
customers in the market. My academic mission would help me to attain my life goals and deliver value to others. My organization would serve
people as well as businesses by safeguarding them in the cyber setting by offering a diverse range of security solutions in the IT domain. After
accomplishing these goals in the professional setting, I would focus on my personal life so that I could spend quality time with my family
members and support my family to raise our child. g g
Academic Goals
Short-Term Goal 1:
• One of my main short-term goals is to revise the computer science topics that have been covered in the class on the same day for the first
three terms. I would meet with my advisor on a weekly basis to get my doubts and queries clarified. The interaction would help me to
work on class assignments. After working on my assignments, I would take part in quizzes and activities relating to the computer science
topic. The activity would be vital as the score that I would get would help me to measure my understanding as well as knowledge on the
specific topic. Thus I could be able to know whether I have accomplished my goal or not. g
The short-term goal is related to my academic mission statement, as it would enable me to acquire knowledge and skills relating to
computer science. By working on the computer science subject on a regular basis I could strengthen my basic foundation on the topics
that are covered in the class with great detail and precision.
Short-Term Goal 2:
• An important short-term goal is to submit all the assignments and projects within the provided deadline for the first term. I would make
sure to engage with my advisor on a weekly basis to design a study plan, which would help me to stay updated on the subject. During the
weekly meetings, I would discuss the requirements of the assignments and devise a suitable plan so that I could submit them within the
assigned deadlines. I would know that I have succeeded in the short-term goal by submitting the assignments during the first two terms
before the due date of submission.
The short-term goal is aligned with my academic mission as it would help me to cover new concepts and principles on computer science
to complete the assignments as well as the projects. I would cover the syllabus on a regular basis to complete the assignments, and it
would help me to get a detailed and thorough insight into the computer science principles, concepts, and frameworks. g
Short-Term Goal 3:
• One of my short-term goals is to take part in online tests on the computer science topics that have been covered in the class for the first
and second term. I would discuss with my faculty how the materials in the e-learning platform could be used to take part in online tests,
quizzes, and other activities. After the completion of every chapter in the computer science class and revision, I would take part in online
tests. The results that I would get would highlight my learning and the areas in which I am struggling with. I would discuss with the
faculty member about my quiz results so that the areas in which I am struggling could be improved and my overall knowledge on the
subject could be strengthened.
This short-term goal is linked to my academic goal as I would be able to assess my understanding and skills on the computer science
subject. By taking part in different kinds of online assessments, I would be able to broaden my insight into the computer science subject
and pursue further education in the field.
