Lean Manufacturing
Steps which don’t fit according to the processing for lean manufacturing are:
a. Step (a) in processing method because unnecessary weighing without any
processing is waste of time and production gap. If the bags have the tags of 50 kg
and they are delivered with 50 kg sealed in it then why to weighed again and
again. If you want to weight that on arrival than why re weighing after cooling
process again. Its unnecessary step.
b. Step (j) processing unit has thrown the poor-quality leaves which can be reutilize
in some ways but according to lean manufacturing wasting in production cost is
doesn’t add value to the flowchart, so this step is unnecessary here.
c. Step (b) in packaging and shipping unit is included in which different type of
leaves are discarded again which is again the production waste and doesn’t adding
any value to the primary user. These are the steps which are waste according to
the user.
Sustainability
There are 3 steps that are against the environmental sustainability.
d. Step (i) where leaves are removed from special trays and put through drying
