I chose to discuss limited employee training. Appropriate employee
training is so important in every business in order for the business and
all of its parts to work together efficiently. a In order for a business to
succeed, one of the biggest investments a business can make is
implementing appropriate training programs for its employees.
What general factors may have contributed to an organization or
business implementing this practice?
Factors that might contribute to limited employee training might be
low staffing issues, budgeting issues, unreliable or outdated
resources, lack of updated technology or unqualified training staff. a
Also, if employee morale is low, there may be little to no interest in
training or even remaining employed with the company. a
What are some potential negative repercussions of the practice on
employees, the local community, or the business or organization?
Limited training can impact the productivity and overall financial
success of the business, leaving opportunities open to create a toxic
or resentful work environment, causing employee culture to to be
negative and morale to be low. a This can also lead to negligence in
business practices and possible safety issues on the job. All of which
would give a business a bad reputation with its community.
What benefits might employees, the local community, or the business
or organization experience if a more people-friendly practice was
incorporated?
In a more people friendly type of culture, employees would feel
appreciated and therefore want to be more productive and work
together with their associates. Feeling valued definitely boosts
morale and in turn promotes loyalty and trust between the business
and its employees, encouraging long term commitment. a The local
community also trusts business that have positive and people friendly
work cultures that support and value their employees and therefore
make it possible for them to be contributors to society.
