• Identify the image (A–E) that you selected.
[The image I selected is Figure D: A genderqueer person comforting a transgender woman
on a therapist’s couch.]
• Describe what happened before the image was taken. Your response should be about
2 to 3 sentences in length.
[Before the image was taken, the transgender women invited their genderqueer friend to a
therapy session. The transgender women shared a sad story that upset both them and their
friend. The genderqueer person comforted the transgender women as they reflected on
what they had just shared in therapy.]
• Describe what is happening in the image. Your response should be about 2 to 3
sentences in length.
[In the image, there are two subjects, a genderqueer person and a transgender woman.
They are sitting on a couch together in a therapy room. The transgender woman is being
comforted by a genderqueer person, who is holding their hands.]
• Describe what the subjects are feeling or thinking in the image. Your response should
be about 2 to 3 sentences in length.
[The transgender woman is feeling some type of distress. They look like they are feeling
upset. I can presume that they are having negative thoughts due to their facial expression.
The genderqueer person feels concerned for the transgender woman. It may be safe to say
they are thinking of something they can do or say to make them feel better about the
troubling situation they are going through.]
• Describe what will happen next. Your response should be about 2 to 3 sentences in
length.
[Next, the transgender women will continue to receive comfort from the genderqueer
person. They will continue to talk to each other and the therapist about their current
challenge. They will then move forward to converse about a solution to the problem.]
