The scale of measurement for each variable can be identified by three possibilities like
nominal, ordinal and interval and/ or Ratio. The class variable is identified as nominal
because it is separated by categories. While on the other hand, empathy 1-7 variables
leans towards ordinal since it only categories are from 1 to 5. Leaving the empathy
average identifying as interval-ratio because it is a quantitative continuous
variable.There are three types of measure of central tendency for each variable such as
mean, median, and mode. The measures of central tendency for the class variables
being nominal it is best to use mode. The measure of central tendency for the empathy
1-7 variables is ordinal it is best to use median. The measure of central tendency of
empathy average being interval-ratio it is best to use mean.The measures of variability
helps identify each variable by using one out of three measurements like
range/interquartile rage, standard deviation/ variance or none. When it comes to the
variable class the measure of variability is none to identify it. The measure of variability
for empathy 1-7 variable identify as range. While the empathy average measure of
variability identify as standard deviation/variance. When it comes to graphic depictions
the variable class and empathy 1-7 uses a bar/pie chart. The empathy average
identifying graphic deceptions would use a histogram. Intersection of graphics, statistics
and scale of measurement is crucial for effective data. Nominal, ordinal, interval and
ratio are measurement scales that provides different type of information. Which can
influence the choices that are made when it comes to methods and graphs being used.
